Artist’s Statement
As an artist, my mind is not only geared for creating but for controversy as well. Most of my work comes from a place of belief or disbelief in the morals and social ethos of our present time. My images include religious iconography and candid statements on gender perception primarily in the western world, although not restricted to these regions. I also find that my visual thoughts may speak globally in their imagery.
I offer personal opinions in my work with the hope of gaining the input of the viewer. I am very interested in learning what is being experienced and determined by the individual when viewing my pieces. I am already familiar with the drive behind each of my artworks therefore the conception of others is the key factor in the finished product. Interpretation of each image will represent something entirely different to varied personalities.
My goal as an artist is to inspire, infuriate, endear and/or provoke emotions in each viewer. Whether my art is loved or hated, I consider it an achievement as long as it has created thoughts and impressions in others.
